Maria Luisa Garcia Martin

MaDr. María Luisa García-Martín has worked in the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy applied to biomedical research since the beginning of her scientific career. She obtained her Ph.D. at the Autonomous University of Madrid in 2001, and did her postdoctoral training at the Cancer Center of the University of Arizona. Back in Madrid, in 2005, she started her independent career at the Superior Council for Scientific Research (CSIC). In 2011 she joined the Andalusian Centre for Nanomedicine and Biotechnology (Malaga, Spain), where she leads a multidisciplinary team focused, among others, on  the development of new magnetic nanomaterials for molecular imaging and therapy of cancer.
